 PLATEAU  Bb CLARINET, POSSIBLY BOOSEY 

A unique and rare plateau Bb clarinet. The stamps are worn but the barrel is clearly stamped Boosey and Hawkes. The top joint also appears to have a Boosey or possibly a Besson stamp also. There are no cracks or damage to the wood, excepting a chip to the lower tenon of the bottom joint which is invisible when the instrument is assembled. The original thumb rest has been moved higher, we have moved it back to the original position and filled the old holes, see photo 9. The Maillechort key work is in very good condition. We have fully overhauled in Pisoni Premium Deluxe Tan Leather pads and the clarinet is sold with a 1 year Clarinets Direct warranty The m'piece is an excellent condition Noblet.. The matching serial nos. are 5144C. The instrument tunes well at A=440 & would suit a sax/flute doubler, or a  player with arthritic problems.
