A good condition Yamaha 650 clarinet, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. This instrument was bought new some 6 years ago, and it has helped its original owner to take a specialist Music performance degree at Royal Holloway, she has just up-graded to a Buffet R13.
The Yamaha 650 is the top selling rival to the Buffet E13. It features a voicing groove to the interior neck of the bell to enhance the bottom E/B twelfth. The serial numbers are 116221. The instrument features tapered and undercut tone holes, and Silver plated keywork, which is in excellent condition. The clarinet has tan leather pads throughout, which are in very good condition. The upper joint has 2 pinned repaired surface cracks, see photos 6 & 7, neither go through to the bore. The cracks ocurred soon after the instrument was bought new, and subsequent to being repaired. the instrument was used for several years without any issues. The supplied m'piece is a Yamaha 4C, which is like new, as the original owner up-graded to a Vandoren m'piece. The case is in good condition, though there are a few interior marks.
