YAMAHA YCL450 Bb CLARINET, £495

This Yamaha YCL 450 is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. It was last fully overhauled in the Summer of 2018. The fish skin pads are in good used condition. The silver plated key work is in fine condition. The wood has no cracks or damage, but there are some light surface scratches, mostly to the barrel. The serial numbers are 141428. The Yamaha 450 is the top selling rival to the Buffet E11. It has a couple of major advantages over its Buffet rival: 1. The wood tends to give less trouble than the E11, which indeed, has developed such a poor reputation in this regard, that the Buffet E11 "France" is now a deleted model in the Buffet range, and has been re-badged E12. Yamaha quality control and build quality are exemplary, and these instruments are easy to live with and perfect for the advancing student. 2. The instrument has a "voicing" groove in the bell, in common with the more expensive models in the Yamaha range and also the Buffet Prestige RC. The supplied m'piece is a used Yamaha 4C, which shows some ligature scratches to the back. The original case is in very good condition.
