A near mint condition Yamaha 450 clarinet, which was recently taken in trade in against a Bass clarinet from a UK based Jazz professional by Clarinets Direct. The instrument was purchased new from Howarth & Co. 3 years ago, but little used. The only reason that the instrument is not described as "mint" is that there is slight wear to the tenon corks. The instrument has been down to our workshop for a re-pad and is sold with our full 1 year warranty. The Silver plated keywork and wood are both pristine. The Yamaha 450 is the top selling rival to the Buffet E11. It has a couple of major advantages over its Buffet rival: 1. The wood tends to give less trouble than the E11, which indeed, has developed such a poor reputation in this regard, that the Buffet E11 "France" is now a deleted model in the Buffet range, and has been re-badged E12. Yamaha quality control and build quality are exemplary, and these instruments are easy to live with and perfect for the advancing student. 2. The instrument has a "voicing" groove in the bell, in common with the more expensive models in the Yamaha range and also the Buffet Prestige RC. The supplied m'piece is a used Yamaha 4C. The original case is in very good condition.
