MATCHED PAIR OF BOOSEY & HAWKES SYMPHONY 1010 CLARINETS, £1495

This matched pair of Symphony 1010 Clarinets are a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The pair have been owned by from new by a single enthusiastic amateur and well maintained, the condition is very good. Both instruments feature the later Acton patent vent, for improved RH intonation. The Bb has serial no. 371629 and has Silver plate in very good condition, there are only slight scratches and tarnish commensurate with the instruments age and careful use. The wood is in excellent condition. All pads are Tan leather, in good condition, the pair were regularly serviced at T W Howarth & Co.
The A, serial no. A 377383, has Silver plate throughout is in excellent shape, as are all the pads and corks. The wood shows no cracks or damage. As usual the A has seen less use than the Bb. There are two barrels of 63.7mm and 62.4mm [ labelled S] The supplied m'piece is a Peter Eaton 1010, which has been shortened to improve the tuning. The case is a Howarth in excellent condition.
