The Symphonie 3 clarinet was a professional model offered by Leblanc in the 1960's, which gradually evolved into the L7 series of the 1970's. The bore is of medium large size at 15.0mm, which matches the Leblanc Pete Fountain & Dynamic H models. This instrument is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct, it is has come from the collection of a fastidious American, his instruments are always offered for sale in excellent condition.
The Bb has matching serial nos. 11355, which probably dates to the early 1960's The German Silver key work is in excellent condition, likewise the wood which shows no cracks or repairs. The instrument has good condition fish skin pads, and cork on the register key, first 2 trill keys and C#/G# key. We have just checked over the instrument thoroughly in our workshop, with all regulation and touch corks attended to as necessary. The case is a more modern Leblanc example in very good condition.
