LEBLANC SYMPHONIE II FULL BOEHM Bb CLARINET, £795.

The Symphonie II Full Boehm clarinet was a top of the range professional model offered by Leblanc in the late 1950's, which gradually evolved into the L7 series of the 1970's. The bore features a cone at the top of the upper joint which widens from 14.60mm to 14.85mm; the bore is of medium size. This instrument is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct, it is has come from the collection of a fastidious American, his instruments are always offered for sale in excellent condition.
The Bb has matching serial nos. 7397. It probably dates from the late 1950's or early 1960's The German Silver key work is in excellent condition, likewise the wood which shows no cracks or repairs. The instrument has top quality Pisoni white leather pads, which are "as new". We have just checked over the instrument thoroughly in our workshop, with all regulation and touch corks attended to as necessary. This clarinet is a Full Boehm with all the extras: Fork Eb/Bb, alternative LH Ab/Eb, articulated C#/G#, and low Eb. The case is the original in black leather, there are a couple of tears to the exterior, but it is in good used condition.
