SELMER, PARIS, SERIES 9 FULL BOEHM Bb CLARINET, £945

A very good condition Selmer Series 9 Full Boehm Bb Clarinet ,which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. This instrument formerly belonged to a London based Jazz player, but was kept mainly as a spare. The 9* was marketed by Selmer as "pour la musique symphonique", the 9 was "pour le jazz et les varietes."
This clarinet has all the "bells and whistles": Fork Eb/Bb, articulated C sharp/ G sharp, LH Ab/Eb lever and bottom Eb key. The Nickel Silver keywork is in good condition with only slight  plating loss; mainly to the ring finger keys. The Grenadilla wood is in very good condition with no cracks or repairs. The clarinet  has predominantly cork pads on the upper joint, and fish skin pads on the lower joint. All pads are are in excellent condition. The clarinet measures 15.25mm at the top of the reverse cone of the upper joint. The matching serial numbers are U1555, dating to 1965. The case is the original in good condition, as is the supplied m'piece, a used Pomarico crystal No.2.
