SELMER, PARIS, SERIES 9 Bb CLARINET, £795

A very good condition Selmer Series 9 enhanced Boehm Bb Clarinet. The 9* was marketed by Selmer as "pour la musique symphonique", the 9 was "pour le jazz et les varietes."
This clarinet has an articulated C sharp/ G sharp mechanism. The Silver plated keywork is in excellent condition with no  plating loss. The Grenadilla wood is in very good condition with no cracks or repairs. The clarinet  has predominantly fish skin pads with cork on the register key. All pads are are in excellent condition. The clarinet measures 15.25mm at the top of the reverse cone of the upper joint. The matching serial numbers are U4793, dating to 1966. The case is an Orly in good condition, as is the supplied m'piece.
