A mint condition pair of Howarth S1 clarinets.
These instruments are a one owner pair, used by a young professional lightly,
before her career direction led her to concentrate more on period instrument performance.
The unstained Grenadilla wood is in superb condition, with no scuffs or scratches, pristine.
There is no joint wobble. The pads are all sealing well,
both instruments have had recent overhauls by John Coppen.
The key work shows absolutely no wear or play to the mechanism.
The Silver plating throughout is excellent. The Bb has matching serial nos. are 1466.
The A, matching serial nos. 1508.
The supplied m'pieces are the original Howarths, unused.
The tuning is excellent with standard French bore m'pieces.
There are 3 barrels: 2 for the Bb of 63.5mm and 66mm, and 1 for the A at 66mm.
The original case and cover are in perfect condition.
