HOWARTH S1 Bb CLARINET, £1395

A very fine condition Howarth S1 Bb clarinet in Grenadilla wood, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. Unfortunately Howarth have now ceased manufacturing clarinets. This S1 model was designed by the late Jon Steward, at 14.85mm bore it is free blowing, and very well in tune.
The Grenadilla wood is in superb condition, with no cracks or damage. There is no joint wobble. The tan leather pads are all in excellent condition. The Silver plated key work shows no wear. The Bb has matching serial nos. are 1401. The supplied m'piece is a Selmer C**. The original pouchette leather case is also in very good condition.
