PAIR OF BUFFET E13 CLARINETS, £1595

An excellent condition pair of Buffet, E13 clarinets. These instruments are a one owner pair, and have seen exceptionally light use. They were bought new by a player in his 50's who has not played them in the last 20 years! The A is in mint condition.
The Grenadilla wood is in superb condition, with no scuffs or scratches, pristine. There is no joint wobble. The pads, which are mainly double bladder fish skin, are all sealing well, both instruments have had a thorough check down in our workshop: The majority of the pads were replaced on the Bb, but the A had seen far less use; only a couple of pads needed replacing. The key work on both clarinets has also been regulated, with all touch and tenon corks replaced as necessary. The key work shows no wear or play to the mechanism; in stark contrast to more recent E13 manufacture. The Nickel Silver plating throughout is excellent on the Bb which has matching serial nos. are K80985. The A, which has pristine Nickel plate has matching serial nos. K98717. The supplied m'piece is an original Buffet in excellent condition, as is the Buffet double pouchette leather case.
