SELMER RECITAL A CLARINET, £1995

An excellent Selmer Recital A clarinet in Silver plate. This instrument is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The former owner is a UK professional. He recently purchased another pair of Selmer Recitals and this A is now surplus to requirements.
The Selmer Recital design features a long reversed cone throughout the top joint, which results in exceptionally accurate and stable tuning. There is no damage to the main joints, which are crack and repair free, however the shorter of the two barrels has a tight surface crack, which does not run through to the bore. The pads are all as originally fitted by Selmer in good condition. The plating overall is very good with no loss.  This A has matching serial nos. E3284, which dates to 1986.  All pieces are original and stamped Selmer, with barrels of 62.5 and 64.5mm. The case is an Orly which is used, but in good condition. This instrument has been exceptionally well cared for. It would pair well with No.26 currently on our list.
