The instrument is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct, and this clarinet was hand selected at Buffet. The sole former owner is a young professional currently studying at the Paris Conservatoire with Phillipe Cuper. He originally paired this clarinet with a Luis Rossi American bore Bb which will be offered for sale shortly.

Buffet Crampon is the undisputed finest volume maker of clarinets in the World today. This clarinet is one of their most desirable models, an RC Prestige. The instrument is in excellent condition. The plating is pristine. The wood is without mark or blemish: NO damage or cracks whatsoever. This clarinet was the first Buffet design to feature a voicing groove in the bell to improve the lowest pitches. The intonation and response are outstanding. The matching serial numbers are F464106. The pads are finest Pisoni white leather. All pieces matching and original, but in addition a Buffet Moennig, 63.0mm Bb barrel is also supplied, the original owner found this tuned well for him. The original supplied Buffet double case is in excellent condition.
