These instrument are a commission sale for Clarinets Direct, and these clarinets were hand selected at Wood Wind & Reed. Their sole former owner is a leading UK professional who used the pair for only one trial with the CBSO. He and his wife are currently looking forward to their first child and consequently a couple of pairs will be offered to the market.

Buffet Crampon is the undisputed finest volume maker of clarinets in the World today. These clarinets are one of their most desirable models, the RC Prestige. The instruments are in excellent condition. The plating is pristine. The wood is without mark or blemish: NO damage or cracks whatsoever. This model was the first Buffet design to feature a voicing groove in the bell to improve the lowest pitches. The intonation and response are outstanding. The Bb has matching serial numbers are 528192. The pads are finest Pisoni white leather in "as new" condition. All pieces matching and original. The two supplied barrels are 66.0mm and 67.0mm. The A has matching serial numbers, 529951. The condition of this instrument is mint. The two supplied barrels measure, 64.5mm and 65.0mm, like the Bb barrels they are Buffet examples. The original supplied Buffet double case is in new condition, and there is also a NAP Paris case cover with carry strap.
