Clarinets Direct is fortunate to count many of the UK's finest players amongst our clientele.
The sole former owner of this superb instrument, is one such. The insrument is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct, and the reason for
the sale is that the owner wishes to purchase a new pair of Buffet Divine clarinets.
Buffet Crampon is the undisputed finest volume maker of clarinets in the World today.
This clarinet is one of their rarest and most expensive models, an A RC Prestige Basset.
The istrument was designed to play the Mozart Quintet and Concerto as originally conceived by him,
and has a range to low C.
The instrument is in mint condition. The plating is pristine. The wood is without mark or blemish:
NO damage or cracks whatsoever. It was bought new from T W Howarth & Co, and has been played only on a handful
of occasions. This Basset features a "Schmidt Reform Boehm" type dual function register key,
which automatically uses separate holes for throat Bb and the upper register. The instrument
also has a voicing groove in the bell to improve the lowest pitches. The intonation and response
are outstanding. The matching serial numbers are 31843. The Basset has had thorough check up in our workshop, with regulation
and pads receiving attention as necessary. This clarinet is "as new".
The supplied Buffet stock m'piece was not used by the sole former owner. The
condition of the case is pristine.
