BUFFET RC Bb CLARINET, £1195

A superb condition Buffet RC clarinet in Bb which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The instrument has had a careful adult owner who used it to play in a community orchestra, but sadly no longer has the time to play. When the American investor Martin Tolchin bought Buffet Crampon he felt that though the R13 sold well in the USA, different models would be more successful in Europe. The S1, Continentale and BC20, which became the RC, were all attempts to make darker, more focused sounding clarinets.
This Bb has no serial numbers, which is not unique in our experience: Occasionally Buffet allow a player to purchase from the factory, or gift an instrument to a player from the factory, which can account for the lack of serial numbers. It is also possible that both joints are replacements from Buffet, however, in the case that both joints of a clarinet crack under warranty it is far more likely that Buffet would replace the instrument with a brand new example. The clarinet is in pristine condition; perfect Silver plate, and no cracks or damage to the wood. We have just entirely re-padded the instrument in finest Pisoni Deluxe fish skin pads, and the clarinet is sold with our full warranty. The mouthpiece is an upgrade to a Vandoren B45 in excellent condition. The original Buffet case is also in good used condition, and is supplied with the keys.
