An
extremely fine pair of Buffet R13 clarinets in Silver plate, which are a commission sale for
Clarinets Direct. These one owner instruments
have been extremely well cared for and maintained. The owner had the pair carefully selected for her new in 1999
by her then teacher at Chetham's School of Music in Manchester. However, whilst at Chetham's her
main instrument became the Soprano Saxophone, consequently the pair have seen exceptionally light use.
The Bb has matching serial nos. 440400. All pieces are matching and original and stamped "Buffet".
The Silver plating
overall is in excellent condition, with no wear.
The instrument has just had a complete overhaul in our
workshop and all pads are all brand new fish skin. The Grenadilla wood throughout is excellent,
with no cracks or repairs.
The A has matching S/N
436559 and is in mint condition. It has no cracks or damage, and the plating is pristine.
It has had a partial overhaul in our workshop, as most of the pads were still in excellent condition.
The supplied Orly double case shows some scuffs and marks to the exterior but is fully functional.
The m'piece is a used Vandoren B40. This pair respond and tune exceptionally well, they are outstanding examples
of R13s from this period. If desired the pair can be split as follows: A in double case for
£1595. Bb in new single case with m'piece for £1445.
