BUFFET CRAMPON R13 VINTAGE Bb CLARINET, £1795

This extremely fine Buffet R13 Vintage Bb clarinet is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. It is a one professional owner instrument, and has been very well cared for. After the 1981 take over by Boosey and Hawkes, the Prestige range represented an attempt by Buffet to recapture former high manufacturing and quality control standards. To that end the Prestige clarinet went back to the earlier specification: Unstained, hand selected Grenadilla wood was used, and more time was spent on hand finishing the instrument. The current "Vintage" R13 is an attempt to re-create the classic early R13 of the 1950's as conceived by Robert Carree. In addition an additional Eb/Ab lever for the LH was fitted, though the former owner of this clarinet has had it removed. We have just overhauled this clarinet completely in our workshop, and have ordered a replacement Eb/Ab key from Buffet. This can be fitted for an additional £100.
This Bb, serial no. 528361, has just been entirely re-padded in our workshop,and is sold with our full 1 year warranty. The Silver plate throughout is in pritine condition. The key regulation is very good. The barrel is of 66.0mm and all pieces are matching and original. The mouthpiece is a stock Buffet in "as new" condition. The case is the original Buffet in good condition.
