BUFFET CRAMPON R13 Bb CLARINET, £1195

A very fine condition vintage Buffet R13, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The German Silver  key work is excellent throughout. The Grenadilla wood is in nice condition, no cracks or repairs just surface scuffs and marks, consistent with careful use. The last owner has taken extremely good care of this instrument, and it was recently re-padded throughout in Tan leather pads, all of which are in excellent condition. The matching serial nos. are 51013 which dates to 1955. Back then this was the finest professional instrument Buffet made, with unstained, matched wood. This was before the introduction of the ""Prestige" range, which effectively downgraded the standard R13 considerably. These days R13's are made from inferior quality wood which is stained to hide imperfections.
