BUFFET CRAMPON R13 Bb CLARINET, £1095

A Buffet R13 Bb clarinet, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. This instrument is in good condition, and has been owned by a professional UK jazz player. It is an enhanced Boehm with 7 rings which enable a fork Eb/Bb in the left hand.
The Bb has matching serial nos. F70988, which dates to 1962, at this point in time the R13 was the finest professional model that Buffet Crampon made. The pads, which are fish skin, are well used, but all sealing well. All main pieces are matching and original, and stamped "Buffet", but the barrel is a more modern replacement of 65mm length. The Nickel Silver plating shows some wear, mainly to the ring fingers. There are no cracks or repairs to the Grenadilla wood which is in excellent condition. The m'piece is a used Seimer HS*. The supplied Buffet case is of Prestige type, in fair condition, the RH lock needs the catch lifting manually once the release button has been pushed to the side.
