PAIR OF SELMER PROLOGUE CLARINETS, 1695

An extremely fine pair of Selmer Prologue clarinets, which are a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. These instruments were formerly owned by a young musician, who having studied at Trinity College of Music, has now embarked on a singing career.  The Selmer Prologue was a top of the range student model, but of extremely advanced acoustic design, in that it shares with the more expensive Selmer designs, Recital, Privilege, etc. a reducing taper bore throughout the upper joint. This does result is exceptionally fine and stable tuning. The most recent version of the Prologue is now badged "SeleS by Selmer".
 The Bb, S/N F7304, has wood and Silver plate in pristine condition. There are no cracks or repairs, the wood is in perfect condition throughout. The pads, the majority of which are tan leather, are also in good condition. The instrument has gone through our workshop, with any pads replaced as necessary. The A S/N M1239, is in excellent order throughout with wood showing no cracks or damage. Again all fish skin pads are in very good condition. The double case is an "Orly" in good  used condition , the m'pieces are a used Selmer C85 120 amd Vandoren M13. In addition the following accessories are provided: A Vandoren Optimum Ligature with 3 interchangeable plates, 2 clarinet stands, and also a sling with two thumb rest attachments.
