This is a mint condition Selmer Paris Privilege Bb Clarinet, less than 1 year old. This instrument has been professionally owned and played orchestrally and is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The current owner has decided to move on to Wurlitzer and Hammerschmidt instruments. Selmer Privilege clarinets are undoubtedly amongst the best designed French instruments worldwide due to their fine ergonomics and excellent intonation.
The wood shows no cracks or damage, it is in pristine condition. All Silver plate is excellent, as new. The look and solid feel of this key work is far superior to contemporary Buffet manufacture. The instrument features an additional LH Ab/Eb key. Note also the fine metal lining to the lower joint upper tenon, see photo 3. There are 2 supplied barrels of 65.5 and 66.5 mm. The matching serial numbers are 005074. The m'piece is a Selmer C85 120, in new condition. The case is the original Selmer with carry strap and pouches.
