This matched pair of rare Boosey & Hawkes, pre-war 1010 clarinets are in excellent condition.
Their current owner is a professional based in West London, and these instruments have just been
completely refurbished by Clarinets Direct and are sold with our full 1 year warranty.
The Bb has silver plated key work in pristine condition. The
instrument is in wood throughout, which is in very fine condition, with no cracks, damage or repairs.
The matching serial nos. on all main pieces, apart from the mouhpiece, are 32260,
which dates to 1936.
All pads are brand new finest tan leather Pisoni. There is no joint wobble
or play in the mechanism, the instrument is near mint.
The A, serial nos. 32266, which dates to 1936, has again wood in excellent condition.
All pieces are matching and serial numbered, excepting the m'piece.
The key work throughout is "as new". All pads are brand new
finest Pisoni tan leather. Both supplied m'pieces are actually E J Albert examples in very good used condition.
They were re-layed by the late Prof. John Playfair. One has 1.13mm tip by 17mm lay, and the other,
1.0mm by 17mm, which plays slightly sharper in pitch.
The case is a modern Leblanc which is in good used condition.
