This is a Selmer Pre-CT clarinet, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. the instrument has been professionally owned and played by a London based musician. This type of large bore instrument is most closely associated with Jazz players of the 1940s. It demonstrates a warm and relaxed tone. The German Silver key work is in good condition throughout, with no wear. The instrument has used double bladder fish skin pads, and has had a thorough check down in our workshop, with touch and tenon corks replaced as necessary. There is no joint wobble. The matching serial nos. are M9381, which dates to 1949. The m'piece is a used student model. The case is the original Selmer, well used, but it latches securely.
