NOBLET, by LEBLANC, PLATEAU B FLAT CLARINET, £1045

An extremely fine condition professional Noblet, Paris France, Plateau B flat clarinet. All the key work, which is plated in Nickel Silver, is in excellent condition, with no plating wear. The Grenadilla wood is also in overall excellent condition, with no cracks or repairs. Unlike cheaper models in the Noblet range all the main body pieces are in wood. In the past the thumb rest has been re-positioned higher, however it has now been restored to its original position and the screw holes filled, see photo 10. The clarinet has just been completely overhauled by Clarinets Direct, and is sold with our full 1 year warranty. The instrument has been completely stripped down; the wood oiled, key work buffed and polished, all pads replaced with Pisoni Premium Deluxe fish skin pads, springs replaced as necessary, all tenon and touch corks replaced, the mechanism re-aligned and regulated. The clarinet is "as new". All pieces are matching and original, the serial nos. are AB66718. The case is in good condition as is the original mouthpiece a Noblet 2 in ebonite. This clarinet continued to be manufactured by Leblanc right up until they ceased manufacture in 2009. It was described by them as "specifically designed for the younger player, doubler or even the arthritic player who may have difficulty covering the standard open-tone-hole".
