This is an early D Noblet, Paris, C Clarinet, in excellent condition, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The current owner has just bought another Noblet C. This instrument probably dates to pre-WW II as is indicated by the keywork design, the fact that it has German Silver keys i.e. not plated, and that the bell appears to be in Cocus rather than Grenadilla wood. The matching serial nos. are 1065, the main pieces of the wood have no cracks or repairs, though the original barrel does have a crack which has been repaired in the past, it has been glued, filled and sealed. In addition to this barrel, a rosewood barrel is also supplied. The instrument has double bladder fish skin pads throughout, which are all in very good condition, the clarinet has been well maintained. The instrument tunes well with the supplied Gigliotti mouthpiece [which is in good used condition], though this instrument will also tune well with a Boosey & Hawkes 926 Bb clarinet m'piece. The case is of modern over-the-shoulder type, and is in excellent condition. In summation this is an older professional model, which might well suit a player who favours B&H clarinets.
