This is a Noblet Artist C Clarinet, made by Leblanc, in very good condition, and it was
formerly owned by the noted London amateur player Paul Vaughan. Paul had a large
collection of fine clarinets, and was fastidious in the choice and care of his instruments.
This C, serial no. A8148, has no cracks or repairs. The Nickel plate throughout is in very
good condition with no discernable wear. All fish skin pads, whilst not new, are
sealing well and will be good for some time to come.
This clarinet was made entirely from Grenadilla wood, including the barrels,
unlike some of the cheaper models in the Noblet range.
The two supplied barrles are original, and measure 51.5mm and 54.5mm.
There are no cracks or damage to the wood, which is in fine order.
The bore, in common with all other Leblanc made C clarinets,
is 14.50mm.
The supplied m'piece
is a Buffet in good condition, as is the case.
