This is a good condition Noblet, Paris, Bass Clarinet in Grenadilla wood, to low Eb.
The instrument is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct, and the previous owner, has
upgraded to a Buffet low C Bass.
The Noblet 60 Bass is Leblanc's entry level professional model,
featuring a single register key, and range to low Eb.
The Nickel Silver plated key work shows some wear, the plating is about 80%.
The bell is in good condition, with only one slight dent
and no flattening to the base.
There are no cracks or damage to the wood, which has only minor scuffs and scratches,
associated with normal use.
This instrument has a floor peg holder attached to the rear of the bell.
The instrument was last serviced by Stephen Butler in June 2012,
the relevant invoice is included with the Bass. The pads are all tan leather, in good condition,
some of these were replaced at this last service.
The serial no. is 12863, which dates to the late 1970's. The case is the original in fair condition;
there are some scuffs to the exterior and wear to the interior, but it latches and protects the instrument well.
The m'piece is an "as new" student model. This instrument responds easily and readily,
and would make an ideal first professional
Bass clarinet purchase.
