This is an excellent condition Noblet, Paris, Bass Clarinet in Grenadilla wood, to low Eb.
The Noblet 60 Bass is Leblanc's entry level professional model,
featuring a single register key, and range to low Eb.
The Nickel Silver plated key work shows hardly any wear, which is most unusual,
the plating throughout is in excellent condition.
Both the crook and bell are in excellent condition, with no dents
There are no cracks or damage to the wood, which is extremely good condition:
However this instrument used to have a floor peg holder attached to the rear of the lower joint,
this was removed, and the four screw holes which where left have been filled.
Also the marching band lyre holder has also been removed, and the screw holes left unfilled.
We will fit a new Leblanc floor spike attachment to the bell.
The Bass has been photographed prior to going into our workshop, and it will have a complete
overhaul, including all pads replaced with Pisoni Premium Deluxe Tan leather. The Bass
will be sold with out comprehensive 1 year warranty.
The serial no. is 9457, which dates to the late 1970's.
Indeed this is the latest serial number Noblet Bass that Clarinets Direct has handled to date,
and this may account in part for the fine condition. The case is the original in fair condition;
there are some scuffs to the exterior and wear to the interior, but it latches and protects the instrument well.
It has had two additional latches fitted in addition to the original latches, and the handle has been replaced.
The m'piece is a Vandoren B44 in good used condition. This instrument responds easily and readily,
and would make an ideal first professional
Bass clarinet purchase.
