This is a fine condition Noblet, by Leblanc, Paris, Bass Clarinet in Grenadilla wood, to low Eb. This is a model 60, the entry level professional Bass made by Leblanc. All the Nickel Silver key work is in very good condition, with only slight spot wear. There are no cracks to the wood, but it does show scuffs and surface gouges, where, in the past, the thumb rest and original spike attachment, have been removed [see photos 3 & 9]. The crook is in good condition with only very slight scratches, but the bell has been used to support the instrument, and this has reulted in flattening to the bottom, see photo 8. We have just fitted a new floor peg attachment to the bell to stop this. The Bass has just had a complete overhaul, in finest Pisoni Premium Deluxe Tan Leather pads, & is sold with our full Clarinets Direct 1 years' warranty. The matching serial nos. are 5164, which dates to the 1960's. The case is a Selmer in very good used condition. The m'piece is a brand new Michael White. This Bass plays easily with a fine tone and good intonation; despite its cosmetic flaws. It would suit a professional looking for a reasonably priced entry level Bass. A comparable model Amati Bass now retails new for 4220.
