A rare near mint condition Noblet, Paris France, Plateau B flat clarinet.
It is identical to the intermediate model Noblet 45, except that the
mechanism is covered hole, i.e. plateau.
Unlike some of the cheaper models in the range, this clarinet is made entirely from Grenadilla wood.
All the key work, which is plated in Nickel Silver, is in pristine condition.
The wood is also in superb condition. The only reason the clarinet cannot be described as "mint" is
because the fish skin pads are all not brand new, though they are also in excellent condition.
The matching serial nos. are B71394.
The case is as new & is supplied with the keys. The mouthpiece is an also "as new" Buffet.
This clarinet continued to be manufactured by Leblanc
right up until they ceased manufacture in 2009. It was described by them as "specifically
designed for the younger player, doubler or even the arthritic player who
may have difficulty covering the standard open-tone-hole".
