KING MARIGAUX, PARIS, Bb CLARINET, £595

This is a very good condition King Marigaux Bb clarinet, in Grenadilla wood. King, were, I believe, the agents for SML. Strasser, Marigaux, and Lemaire were makers specialising in professional, saxophones, oboes and clarinets. Today, as Marigaux, they survive as one of the World's finest oboe manufacturers.
All the Silver plate key work is in very good condition. The wood overall is in excellent condition, with no damage or repairs, excepting the barrel which has a repaired, glued crack, see photo 5. In fact the instrument is sold with a replacement Selmer Paris barrel, which the former owner preferred. as the intonation was superior to the original barrel. The matching serial numbers are 0861. The case is a replacement "Kinsman" in good condition, as is the m'piece.
