BUFFET MASTER MODEL ME13 Bb CLARINET, £645

A nice condition Buffet, Evette & Schaeffer, Master Model E13. The German Silver key work shows a good shine and is in excellent condition throughout. We have just re-padded in double bladder fish skin pads & the clarinet is sold with our full year's Clarinets Direct warranty. The serial nos. are K6941 which dates to the late 1950's. Back then the E13 range was tested at the Buffet factory, by Pierre Lefebvre, first clarinet of the Guarde Republicaine Band and later Clarinette Solo de L'Opera-Comique, with the finest instruments then undergoing further hand tuning and undercutting to improve the response. Therefore the customer had an instrument which was almost identical to an R13 on quality, but at less cost. There is one old repaired, glued, crack to the upper part of the lower joint, see photo 4. We have thoroughly checked for seal in our workshop, and this old repair is stable. All pieces are matching and original and carry the "Master Model" stamp. These days E13's are made from inferior quality wood which is stained to hide imperfections, whereas the wood for this clarinet is unstained. The case is the original Buffet in excellent condition, and the m'piece is a used ebonite example in good condition.
