This matched pair of Eaton Elites are a commission sale for Clarinets Direct.
They have had only one owner from new, and
the condition of these instruments is extremely good.
The Elite is Eaton's wide bore English model, based on the Boosey & Hawkes 1010.
The Bb, serial no. E274, has wood throughout in very good condition, there are no cracks or repairs,
excepting a small chip to the outer rim of the upper joint tenon, see photo 11. This is
completely hidden when the clarinet is assembled and has no effect on the response.
All tan leather pads are in very good condition, as are the touch and tenon corks.
The Silver plate is without any marks or tarnish, excellent condition.
The A, serial no. E253, has no cracks or repairs.
The condition is near mint, with no wear to the stamps.
The Silver plate throughout is in excellent shape,
as are all Pisoni Tan Leather pads and corks. There are 4 barrels of 63.0mm,
,63.2mm, 64.4mm, and 64.8mm all in perfect condition. The m'piece is an
Eaton Elite stamped: 1.24 21V, S/N 3045, in good used condition.
The original Paxman case also comes with carry straps, it is, again, in very good condition.
This pair has had only light use and represents a substantial cost saving over new.
