An exceptionally rare and fine professional Leblanc Bb Clarinet with 7 rings,
automatic dual function Bb hole and speaker tube, and low G/D compensating vent.
This instrument is
a commission sale for Clarinets Direct, the current owner is an British collector.
This Bb has matching serial numbers C 5102, which probably dates to the 1950's.
This was the time at which Selmer were also marketing the Centered Tone Omega Bb,
wich had a similar mechanism, allowing dedicated tone holes for overblowing and throat Bb.
The wood is in excellent condition with no cracks and repairs. The German Silver key work is
also in very good condition.
All pads are fish skin, in fair condition, with the exception of the register key pads which are in cork.
This clarinet demonstrates an even
and well tuned scale. It competes easily with much more expensive new instruments on the market today.
The mouthpiece is a Buffet "C" in ebonite. The case is elderly but still fully functional.
