This is an extremely rare G Leblanc, Paris, Professional Bass Clarinet in Grenadilla wood, to low Eb,
model 325S. This model features a fork Ab/Eb in the RH which neatly does away with the necessity for another touchpiece for the LH
It is a UK owner
professional instrument, and has been extremely well cared for.
The Grenadilla wood throughout is in excellent condition, with
no cracks or damage. The only marks to the wood are at the back of the lower joint, where the screw holes
for an old floor peg attachment
have been filled.
The German Silver plated key work shows only slight "brassing",
it is in very good condition throughout.
The crook is in excellent condition,
as is the bell, which also features the Leblanc logo,
this was a feature only of top Leblanc Bass professional models.
There is a floor peg attachment to the bell.
All pads are finest Pisoni Tan Leather in excellent condition,
and, in addition, the instrument has been down to our
Clarinets Direct workshop for a thorough check down and regulation as necessary.
The matching serial nos. are 678,
which probably dates to the late 1950's.
The supplied mouthpiece is a Selmer C in very good condition.
The case is also in good used condition.
