This is a very good condition G Leblanc, Paris, Bass Clarinet in Grenadilla wood, to low Eb.
This Bass is a rare professional model, which was later designated the 325S.
The mechanism features
a RH fork Ab/Eb key that provides an alternative fingering which is more resonant.
The German Silver plated key work shows no wear, it is excellent throughout.
The crook and bell are in good condition, there is only one tiny pin head ding to the bell.
There are no cracks or damage to the wood, but there are
slight surface marks and scuffs consistent with the age of the instrument,
and the fact that old screw holes for the original floor peg holder,
have been filled. In addition the upper sling hook holder has gone, though
the second one, above the thumb rest remains, so the Bass could still be held
with a sling attachment, if desired.
This Bass has just had a complete Pisoni Premium Deluxe Tan Leather re-pad in our workshop,
& is sold with our full 1 year warranty.
There is a floor peg attachment for a spike to the bottom of the lower joint.
The matching serial nos. are 752: Leblanc serial number lists are unreliable,
but this probably dates to the early 1960's.
The case is a sturdy modern Jupiter in good condition.
The m'piece is an original Leblanc, again in good condition.
