This matched pair of Imperial 926 Clarinets are a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. This pair were one of the last 926 Imperial pairs to be made by Boosey and Hawkes. The 926 Imperial was B & H's top professional model, alongside the larger bore 1010. The pair have been down to our workshop for a thorough check down and regulation prior to sale.
The Bb has serial no. 531747 dating to 1981, and has Silver plate in good condition. The wood is in excellent condition with no cracks or repairs. The pads throughout are fish skin, worn, but still sealing well.
The A, serial no. 504363 dating to 1980, has no cracks or repairs. The Silver plate throughout is in excellent shape, like the Bb the pads are not new, but sealing well. There are 2 barrels of 66.4mm, & 66.8mm. Unlike Buffet clarinets, the barrels on B&H clarinets are interchangeable between the Bb and A. The supplied m'piece is an original Boosey &Hawkes 926 No. 2. The case is also original, it still latches and protects the pair well.
