This is a Lafleur, Artist, London & Paris A clarinet, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. This instrument was made for Lafleur back in the 1930's before Lafleur were bought by B&H. Then they were a fine instrument maker/importer, and this instrument is a superb condition professional model. The original owner was the late Steve Morris: Steve was one of Manchesters finest jazz musicians, well known for his celebrated "Band on the Wall" and the eponymous pub, which he owned and which became one of the North Wests premiere live music venues. The instrument has no cracks or damage to the wood, which is finest Grenadilla. The Silver Plate key work is also pristine throughout. The pads are double bladder fish skin which are in excellent condition. All touch and tenon corks are good. There is no joint wobble. The matching serial nos. are 10095. The m'piece is a Selmer B* in very good condition. There is also a Cordier reed cutter. The double case is a Buffet in black leather, which is in very good condition.
