LEBLANC LL PARIS PROFESSIONAL Eb PICCOLO CLARINET, £1295

This is an excellent condition Leblanc LL  Eb Piccolo Clarinet in Grenadilla wood. The instrument is supplied with a brand new Edward Pillinger mouthpiece which plays with excellent intonation and response, with tip opening 1.12mm. The wood condition overall is very good. There are NO cracks or repairs.  This Eb has "as new" fish skin pads throughout and they are sealing well, the key work is also well regulated.  The Silver plate is pristine throughout and shows no wear. In addition to the Leblanc LL stamp there is also a metal plaque, which states: " Werschnik Patent". Presumably this refers to the tuning hole drilled in the bell, see photo 9, which is designed to improve the intonation on low E and evenness across the break to bell B. The serial no. is 26436 which may date to 1967 [Leblanc serial no. lists are unreliable].     The original Leblanc case is also in excellent condition, and shows that the instrument was bought new direct from Leblanc in Paris.
