LEBLANC L7 Bb CLARINET, £725.

The L7 clarinet was one of a range of professional models offered by Leblanc in the early 1970's, which gradually evolved into the LX2000. The bore features a cone at the top of the upper joint which widens from 14.60mm to 14.90mm; the bore is of medium size. When this model was launched by Leblanc it was priced above all the earlier models, LL, H-Dynamique etc This instrument is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct, its last owner was a professional player from Italy.
The Bb has matching serial nos. 38807. Apparently Nickel plated Leblancs from this period have a tendency to very slight "bubbling" of the plating, and this example shows that mainly on the lower joint, see photo 7. Overall the plating condition is good, there is no discernable wear. The wood is in excellent condition, with no cracks or repairs. The instrument has top quality Pisoni white leather pads, which are "as new". We have just checked over the instrument thoroughly in our workshop, with all regulation and touch corks attended to as necessary. The m'piece is a original Leblanc L4, in excellent condition. The case is a plastic hard shell model in good used condition.
