This is an extremely rare L300 professional model Leblanc Paris Bb clarinet.
The L300 was the
last incarnation of the L7/L27/L200 series, which were Leblanc's
tapered bore upper joint models, introduced through the early 1970's, and culminating
in the early 1980's with the L300. This particular instrument
is easy to distinguish from its predecessors because it
lacks a bell ring.
This Leblanc LL Bb clarinet is in superb condition, and is
a commission sale for Clarinets Direct, having come to us via
a professional player in The Netherlands.
The intonation and response is the equal of the most expensive French instruments sold today.
The clarinet has matching serial nos. 58016.
The Silver plate is in excellent condition, with no
discernable wear.
The wood is in overall fine condition,
with no cracks or repairs, though there are some minor surface scratches to the wood,
all normal signs of use.
The instrument has finest Pisoni double bladder fishskin pads throughout
which are all in excellent condition, with hardly any wear.
All pieces are matching and original with
Leblanc stamps, apart from an additional Boosey & Hawkes short barrel in ebonite
which is not pictured.
The case is in good condition, and comes with the still wrapped keys.
The mouthpiece is a used Leblanc 2L, in excellent condition.
