MATCHED PAIR OF PRE-WAR, LONDON & PARIS, BOOSEY & HAWKES 1010 CLARINETS, £1495.

This matched pair of extremely rare Boosey & Hawkes London & Paris clarinets are in excellent condition. The London & Paris 1010 model, as the name suggests, was made for B&H in France. Somewhat unusually these models feature two different serials, the French factory, and the B&H serial numbers.
The Bb has matching serial nos. 2043/ 1258 and has Silver plate in pristine condition. The wood is in overall excellent condition, with no cracks or repairs, though the barrel and bell are not the originals in ebonite, but from a later B&H 1010. All pads are brand new Pisoni Tan Leather in good condition. Both instruments have been completely re-conditioned by Clarinets Direct and are sold with our full warranty.
The A, serial nos. 1953/1158, has no cracks or repairs. The Silver plate throughout is in good shape. The original barrel and bell, which are made of ebonite, with matching serial nos.,are supplied with the A. The m'piece is an early George Howarth, in excellent condition. The case is a Boosey and Hawkes of 1960's vintage in good condition.
