This a G Rudold Uebel handmade clarinet, which is a commission sale for
Clarinets Direct.
The former owner, is a Dutch professional player, and this instrument has been extremely well maintained.
The Bb is stamped "Germany" " Wohlhausen [Vogtland]", which means that the instrument was made after
German reunification.
The pressed steel type of keywork shows only slight plating wear, mainly to the ring keys,
the plating is approximately 95%.
All pads are finest Pisoni white leather in excellent condition.
The wood throughout is in very good order, with no cracks or repairs.
The matching serial nos. on the Bb are 1-701385.
The case is a Noblet, with some interior stains, it latches well and protects the instrument well.
The instrument tunes and responds excellently with standard Vandoren m'pieces.
Unlike the modern Uebel range which is marketed as of "above average" student quality,
these instruments were made as professional handmade models. For the player unwilling to learn the Oehler system
they do offer an easier alternative to achieving a more traditional "German" sound.
