A rare and fine pair of original logo Selmer clarinets. The Bb has serial numbers 7164. There are no cracks or damage, in fact the condition is very good, with only light surface marks to the wood, mainly on the barrel. the pads, whilst not new, are all sealing well, they are mainly fish skin with a couple of tan leather. The German silver keywork is in pristine condition throughout. Note particularly the " Brevette SGDG" which is on both top joints. Both clarinets have a bore of 14.9mm. The A, has matching serial numbers 7038, it is likely that both instruments date just prior to the instroduction of the more modern Selmer logo, i.e. they date from 1930. There is no damage to the wood, which is crack and repair free. The German Silver key work is excellent throughout. All pads are Tan Leather. The case is a Buffet leather example from the 1970's in good used condition, with dust cover. There are some interior stains and tears, but the latches are sound. The two m'pieces are a Selmer C*, and an earlier HS*, with the lay marked at the base of the table. Both are in good, used condition.
