BOOSEY & HAWKES IMPERIAL 926 Bb CLARINET, £595

A mint condition B&H 926 Bb, which has been exceptionally well cared for. The Imperial 926 was manufactured to the same standard as the Imperial Symphony 1010, both top of the range professional quality instruments. The 926, at 14.9mm was less large in the bore, and also required a correctly designed, tapered bore, 926 mouthpiece. These instruments do not play in tune with standard French m'pieces, i.e. Vandoren & Selmer, unless re-bored. A fact, which sadly, a lot of sellers are ignorant of, these days! The instrument has tan leather pads throughout in as new condition. The bore and silver plate key work are excellent with no cracks, damage or wear. The matching serial nos. are 527289. The No.2 B & H original m'piece is in good condition. The case is the original example, again in excellent condition. This instrument would make a good pair with No. 32.
