BOOSEY & HAWKES IMPERIAL Eb CLARINET, £1795

This is an excellent condition Boosey and Hawkes Imperial, Eb Clarinet in Grenadilla wood, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct This Eb has serial number 489583, which dates to 1978. The Silver plated key work shows no wear, the plating is pristine throughout. There are no cracks or repairs to the wood, which is in good order throughout. Though the bell outer edge, which like all Boosey and Hawkes clarinets, is not metal rimmed, does show some slight marks and scuffs. There is some blue tack in the tone holes for tuning purposes, which has been left as it seems to improve the intonation. The instrument is supplied with 2 excellent m'pieces, an original B&H, and a custom Peter Eaton. The case is a replacement, in very good condition, with little wear both inside and out. This Eb is a top professional model, it plays with an excellent warm tone, and very fine intonation.
