An excellent condition pair of Howarth S1 clarinets, which are a commission sale for Clarinets Direct.
These instruments are a one owner pair, used by a semi-professional lightly,
before her recent acquisition of an Eaton pair.
The unstained Grenadilla wood is in very good condition, only light surface marks,
consistent with careful use.
There is no joint wobble. All the tan leather pads are sealing well,
both instruments have had recent overhauls by Max Ben, ex-Halle Orchestra.
The key work shows no wear or play to the mechanism.
The Silver plating throughout is excellent. The Bb has matching serial nos. are 1018,
& the A, matching serial nos. 1022.
The supplied m'pieces are the original Howarth, and a Vandoren 11.6, both unused.
The tuning is excellent with standard French bore m'pieces.
The BAM case is "as new".
