MATCHED PAIR OF CUSTOM ORDER PETER EATON ELITE CLARINETS, £5495

This matched pair of Eaton Elite clarinets are in mint condition, and are a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. It was this pair that Colin Parr ordered from Peter Eaton, approximately 2 years ago, just before Peter stopped making clarinets. This pair are one of the last made, and according to Colin represent the culmination of Peter Eatons years of experience in making the Elite clarinet. Colin was for many years Principal Clarinet of the CBSO and can be heard on many of the finest Sir Simon Rattle CBSO EMI recordings which are justly renowned.
The Bb has serial no. E980 and has Silver plate in pristine condition. The wood is also without mark or blemish. All pads are Peter Eaton superpads in "as new" condition.
The A, serial no. E1009, is in perfect condition throughout. The Silver plate and wood are pristine, and, like the Bb, the pads are "as new". There are 4 barrels of 61.0mm, 62.0mm, 63.0mm, and 64.0mm. The are also no less than 4 m'pieces, all of which are Elite/1010 bore: A Morgan RM28, two Gigliottis; a P and a No.2, and a Rick Sayre. The BAM case is also in excellent condition.
